embassy interview

I requested for a new appointment date already from the Embassy Hotline. Ask for an Appointment date on August 2006. I set a new appointment date because my employer will not send me job offer and verification of employment plus my visa screen unless I pass the NCLEX. As of now I am still waiting for my letter of Eligibility from Ca BON (they are just so slow in processing applications). Anyway for those who are not yet complete with documents you can call the hotline and they just need you to give them your case number, address, priority date and they will arrange for a new appointment for you. No hassle whatsoever

No required time for medical exam. That's just the advise of some of my co-applicants in the agency, and i did as they told me and it held true for me. Like i told you, first day- i arrived around 3pm and finished at 5pm the same time as one of my co-applicants who arrived 1230pm. The next day i was there 430pm and finished 630, earlier than those who arrived at 2pm, i even left them there, got vaccinated as soon as i arrived, they had been waiting for 3hrs already :trout: anyway, its still up to you. I got some work done during those days, i just left the clinic early to go through the medical.

Hmmm... Do you think it would still be ok if we just go in the afternoon if I'll be bringing along my two kids? Is there a cut-off time in letting in applicants for the medical exam?

This is informative coz it offers an alternative view that everyone needs to be there very early for the exam

Hi, everyone. I would like to ask what happens if you cannot provide any immunization history when you go for the medical examination? Does it matter? I asked my son's pediatrician about this and said she can give me the needed adult immunization if ever I wanted to. But I am thinking that since I will be paying St. Lukes for the medical exam and since they will also provide the needed immunization, I should not spend another amount of money. Can I just tell St. Lukes medical staff that I never had that immunization or should I have myself immunized now while waiting for my appointment notice?

I think it is alright to go in the afternoon even though you have your kids with you. I don't think there is a cut-off time, and it just wasn't me who arrived quite late. In fact when i went on my 1st day, after my B.E., a group of kids followed me, my guess...a big family. But of course since you have two kids you'll will altogether take the P.E. and it will take time, around 45 mins as compared to mine i think 15 min.

@alb0103: if you couldn't give them your immunizations records, they will just give you the shots, they are quite specific about it. The doctor still insisted that i get the rubella even though i told her i had measles before. They are requiring a doctor's certificate just to be sure it was what i think it was. Anyway, there's no harm having that immunization, well except for a very heavy arm for 2 days, so i just got the shot. I think its up to you whether you will get those immunizations but as you said it is included in the medical exam at st. lukes anyway.

don't go to st luke's and the embassy very early. 9am at st.luke's is fine. you'll be done before lunch. go to embassy at exact time of appointment(it does not matter if you go there very early, you still have to wait). and the one's with children are the first one's to be interviewed first.

i think all of your inputs really helps, and give us an idea on how to prepare when PE & embassy interview arrives in the near future considering that we are still awating for our DS230 to arrive. I hope sooner!

@ jing16th - no need to pay extra coz all additional vaccines to be given by st lukes will be free of charge (or already included in the package)

@ badminton - the nbi clearance suffices. unless you have lived in another country for atleast 6 months, then you need a police certificate from that country

how do they do the physical exam? do they check every single inch of the body?
