Elevated monocytes

I am finishing up a NCP. I am having trouble coming up with three interventions for elevated monocytes. Any suggestions? She suffers from LLE cellulitis and edema. Please Help?

What problems do elevated monocytes, cellulitis, and edema cause? I did a search on elevated monocytes and it led to quite a few ideas. What does your textbook say?

think of why they would be eleveated....

a monocyte count is part of a complete blood count and is expressed either as a ratio of monocytes to the total number of white blood cells counted, or by absolute numbers. both may be useful in determining or refuting a possible diagnosis.

monocytosis

monocytosis is the state of excess monocytes in the peripheral blood. it may be indicative of various disease states. examples of processes that can increase a monocyte count include:

a high count of monocytes is found in severe infection (sepsis) now think of why they are elevated in your patient and what you can do to help the condition causing the inflammation.

ie: le edema.....elevate lower extremities, anti-embolism stockings, antibiotics for infection, diuretics for edema ect....make sense?
