Apr 4, 201214 yr I applied for Bridge LVN to RN at El Centro 2012 fall class. Very nervous, I have a four year degree in something else. The only thing I think would kill me is a letter of recommedation from work. I just didnt want to scare my work because they may get rid of me if they know I am leaving anyway.
Apr 7, 201214 yr Good luck everyone! I'm in my last month of the ADN program through El Centro, and I really enjoyed it.

Apr 10, 201214 yr Any tips or information you would like to share?I remember going through this last session. I would suggest you guys buy some NCLEX books and start doing the questions. It will give you an idea of how your class exams are like. It's not like taking A and P or Micro exams. Those are easy tests compared to nursing exams....One of the girls made a 60 on her exam today and she cried in front of the teacher. Sad to see that. Also, get a hold of a Fundamentals book and start reading. Your new life is spent reading (almost all the time). 12 or more chapters per test at least. Not to mention online materials. If you are not discipline, you might consider another career path. We are down to Good luck everyone!
Apr 10, 201214 yr Monday next week will be a nervous day for all of us! Monday? Are they mailing letters Friday or Monday?
Apr 10, 201214 yr Their was alot of reading in my LVN program. I know one class we had to do a paper. Check off were a beating, because it was like reading a script, you had to know word for word and how you performed the check off as well. The teacher were mostly not nice and treated you like you were stupid and very judgemental, You have to stay organized. I think the hardest class was the math portion of pharm because I suck at math anyways. Overall LVN school was very scary but I made it and that was over two years ago. I quit nursing for about a year because I was burnt out. But I decided to that I really want to work in surgery so I am back at it.
