DRG Stethescope

Does anyone have anything to say about the DRG stethescope.

I've heard good things about DRG, but you need to use the regular hard diaphragm and not the soft anti microbial heads to get the best results. They are kind of cool - I guess the acoustics are designed by BOSE, the ear tips have gel inside them for comfort, and they have a piece of material around the tubing that keeps the scope from sliding when around your collar. I think I read somewhere that the material they make the tubing out of doesn't breakdown when exposed to the oils in the skin either.

That's all I've got!

I have one, I like it. Don't bother getting the titanium light one - I did and it was so light it was hard to keep it around your neck - I swapped it for the regular which is much better. I like the antimicrobial diaphragm covers and can hear fine with it.

I love mine. The acoustics are great, and the subtleties of heart and lung sounds seem amplified and distinct. I'd definitely recommend them.

Do people who have the DRG use the soft, antimicrobial diaphragms or the regular 'hard' diaphragm? I read someplace that an owner preferred the hard diaphragm as he felt it was more sensitive. Thoughts?
