Drexel MSN programs online?

Published

Hi:

Just wondering if anyone is attending or has attended Drexel online MSN programs?? It is one of the grad programs I have applied to and was hoping for some feedback from anyone who has already been through their program.

Thanks in advance.

I was hoping you would get a response to your question. I asked a very similar question a month or so ago and did not get any responses. I too have applied to one of their MSN programs in ACNP.

Hmm........I wonder why........there has to be someone doing MSN online or that has, you would think!

Don't know if that makes me a bit nervous that not one person has anything to say........

I have applied for the Fall, 2008 so I will post once I hear from them........I was also going to apply to a few other schools as well but have yet to do so........

Good luck and post if you hear anything.....good or bad! :)

I was thinking the same thing, it does make me nervous that no one is speaking up. I also applied for Fall 2008. Maybe we will be in class together. I will post if I hear anything. I started a thread on the NP forum asking about ACNP programs. I'm hoping maybe we'll get a little more info from people who have been through various ACNP programs.

Did any of you ever get accepted into Drexel? I came across their Women's Health NP program, and was wondering if it is a good school or not!

Hello, well i'm currently enrolled in the MSN program at Drexel University and even though i've just started, so far so good. Drexel has a good reputation and so far the curriculum is good.

I did get accepted to the program for Fall 2008 and attended for two terms. The program was okay. Some of the instructors were great and others were downright awful. Although you could find that in any program. I decided not to continue in the program because I wanted to switch specialities from ACNP to FNP. The FNP program at Drexel is not a distance program.

Medicrnohio,

I saw in your post that you attended Drexel for their acnp program. I looked at the website for the fnp program today and it only lists a few days that you have to be on campus periodically throughout the year and states that most of the program is online. What exactly do they mean by this? I live in Pittsburgh and wouldn't mind commuting every once in awhile if it meant saving me some time and money for my education.

Thanks,

okeefel

The FNP program may have changed since the last time I looked at it, which was several years ago. I'm sure someone from the school could explain it to you. If you live in Pittsburgh, I would suggest you look into local programs as well (Pitt, Carlow, Duquesne).

I would love to hear from any nurse who is attending Drexel online graduate school program ASAP..whether informatics or nurse practitioner. I am signed up for this fall 2011 the NP (Psych) program but am concerned about not seeing any comments on this site about the school or any nursey blogs about the school. you can email at: [email protected]

Thanks
