What was ordered?

I think most facilities have policies regarding dressings for most commonly encountered situations, although if you have a wound nurse to consult with that's ideal. Most often I see Xeroform or vaseline gauze under kerlix.
Nothing was ordered. I was just wondering what dressing supplies are typically used for purulent and non-purulent cellulitis? For purulent cellulitis, I was thinking abdominal pad to absorb the discharge and covered with a secondary dressing?
May I ask the reason you are asking this question? Is this for homework? Or is this for you to apply dressing to a loved one?
It's for homework. I just realized I posted on the nurses forum. Should I post under the students forum instead?
