Can anyone tell me what nurses working in Wisconsin corrections wear?
Does anyone have any idea?

I have no idea if they have a specific dress code, but if they don't I would dress conservatively. Bend over while looking at a mirror and check to see if there is even a hint of cleavage. Nothing too tight or revealing. Many people wear a tshirt (usually long sleeved) under their scrub top. If you have to make rounds on a seg. tier, you might consider a longer lab coat or you jacket to cover your bottom. It doesn't take much skin to make them want to see more of you, talk to you, scream at you and to do other things that you don't want to know about.
*** Thanks for your advice. However I am a man with no cleavage at all :)

:nurse:There is no official dress code but I think some of the suggestions above are applicable. I work nights and wear sweats and a T shirt or sweat shirt. In the summer I've worn shorts( I'm a male) on my weekend and a T without anyone ever calling me out. Most of the gals on days including super wear jeans and a decent top or scrubs which in my opinion are just thin sweats. There has been talk of a dress code but so far so good.
*** Thank you very much. I have an interview on Thursday. Any advice? Questions I should expect? Thanks in advance.
Its been a while but from what I remember questions were situational. What would you do in this given situation. One was what are long and short term goals of inmate newly diagnosed with HIV. Good Luck. Corrections different from nursing home, hospital, etc. And apparently there is a dress code just never talked about or enforced.

all i know is not to wear the color the inmates wear so in case of a riot or something like that you are recognized easily.
