Hi,
Just wondering if there are any LPN's employed at the Dr. Bernstein's Diet Clinic? Can you tell me about your work there?
Kim
Anyone??

hi kim... im went to an interview for the RN position... they offered me a job but i didn't think it was for me since the hours are from 6-2... m-f something like that. i just couldn't do it since i live in the east end of toronto and the position was downtown which meant that i'd have to leave my house at like 5 or earlier. nope, not for me. but anyway, basically the RN's were there to supervise the "treatments", check vitals, IV's (i dont know why a diet clinic would need any iv's) and give IM shots... possibly for nutrients since the bernstein diet rips you off for that. the payscale wasn't very attractive either.. i remember it being somewhere around the $20 - 21 range and the RPN scale was 2 dollars less. good luck to you... hope u make the right choice!

Read about their diet in Chatelaine a couple of months back.
Very big on B12 shots and other vitamin cocktails. Something like a 600 calorie a day diet plan.
Maybe the IVs are for severly malnournished victims. Sorry I meant clients....

HI,
A friend of mine who is also a RN works at one of the Clinics ( in calgary). She loves it there for several reasons 1) her hours a 6-2, four to five days a week 2) she works with several LPN's and enjoys the atmosphere 3) It is not backbreaking work. I do know the pay is less there than in the hospital, however----it is worth it to some to not have to do shift work and have all the holidays off!

Hi Jen,
Does your friend still works at Dr Beinstein Clinic in Calgary as a RN. If so, how much is the pay now for an RN.I am looking at applying.
Thanks.
Michelle.
I've known a couple of people of have (notice the past tense) worked there. Nobody raves about their time there.
Work related environment or the pay itself. So you never did work there then.Do you know of any RN who has worked there recently.
Thanks kindly
Michelle
One left in the last three months. Not a happy camper. She won't go into details, just describes it as a place she wouldn't want a friend to work at. She's pretty much told us all how the diet works and to where the B12, B6 shosts go.

Worse yet I have personally known 3 people that have gotten seriously ill on the Bernstein diet.
Really,That can be scary.Just wondering, how come they have been around for 35 yrs.Do you think people can be desperate?.
Do you personally know an RN who had work there or is still working there. What is their opinion I wonder as amn employee.

Me too. Not a healthy diet at all. I can't understand why anyone who went into nursing to help people would work in a place that causes harm.
