Does U.S. ADN transfer to other countries?

Or do you have to have a BSN?

Im specifically looking into Canada, Egypt, Turkey or Sweden.

Canada is minimum BScN entry to practice for RN. Most countries are 3 year diploma or bsn

Does anyone know if there are countries that ok with an ADN

ASN appears to be unique to the U.S. As are online BSN completion programs You need to check with the country nursing council. If not an EU citizen/passport holder you will run into difficulties securing work permits in any of the EU countries due to EU mandates to hire citizens then other EU citizens before considering any other country. If you had a BSN you could use a nafta visa to work in Canada or Mexico

@butterflykisses, I am curious how did you come up with a list of Canada, Egypt, Turkey and Sweden? It seems these countries have nothing in common, not even their flags.

Does it matter? :)

Posts like this, especially towards new members, are so unnecessary and probably the reason many users post only a few times and never come back. If I got this response the first time I came asking a question I would have been weary of returning.

My health authority in Canada has hired US ADN educated nurses in the past. But they were specialized, had graduated before 2009 (when the BScN became mandatory in my province) and had years of experience.

Thanks to the member who replied...I completely agree...why do people come on here and reply something rude. Its just rude. In fact the person I am marrying may be transferred out of country and/or San Fran or Boston so I am simply preparing on what to do to ensure my license transfers. If anyone knows how to report a member I would love to know. THANKS.
