Does the loop stay unclosed?

Published

If a nurse takes out a pain med on 1 patient in the omnicell but gives it to another patient instead, does the loop stay unclosed to make it look like you took out a pain med but never administered it?

Unsure reason for asking this. Not sure about omnicell - but pyxis would allow you to reconcile- med X removed, Med X administered for same patient

Agree with Rinoir........whatever patient you take med out on, either that patient gets the med or you waste it WITH A WITNESS.

you should have returned the med under that patient, THEN taken it out again for the other one ?
