Does this look back?

A litle history: I took 6 months off after school. I then applied to new grad programs, and got stuck in Med-Surg (it was the only option I had). Now I'm several months in and I do not like it. I've only been there for several months. I'm really getting the urge to apply to a few OR positions, but I'm not sure how this would look to employers. Does it look bad that I've only kept the Med-Surg position for a short time? Or should I just go for what I have an interest in doing?

Thanks :)

No, not at all - the first job is kinda of a "starter" job to get your feet wet.

I think you should go for it if you feel you are ready and you are qualified for the position or they are willing to train you. There is no harm in trying. Good luck.
