Does Excelsior require A&P 1 and 2?

I have a quick question and hope someone can answer it. I was looking through the Excelsior LPN-ADN requirements, and it states that 4 credits of A&P is required. I have already taken A&P 1 w/lab which equals 4 credits and was curious if that already satisfies the requirement? I am enrolled in A&P 2 right now, but have the option to drop by Friday w/refund. It would just be nice not to have to worry about this course during my last semester of LPN school., especially if I don't need it.

Thanks!

Generally you need both A&P 1 and 2 to transfer credits, or you have to take the EC A&P exam. I'd stay in the A&P 2! :)

Yes, don't let the credit amount trick you. They want the entire A&P content. Stay with your number 2 and finish well with it. Best of luck.

Thanks, I called EC to verify and yes they do want both. I dropped the class though. I am in my last semester of LPN school and I don't want to stretch myself too thin. I am enrolling in the course for spring, when I have more time on my hands.

Yes, you need both classes. I took A&P I and a lab through our local college, then had to take A&P again through Excelsior.

I took BIOL 2404 which was a combination of A&P I and II. They accepted it :-D

Stay in your current class.

They waived it for me but I had two bios with A's and Micro with an A so maybe that had something to do with it. And I'll be taking it as soon as I finish my BSN. That and chemistry.
