I'm just wondering how many of you students use nursing bags? I'm debating on whether I should get one or not. If you use them, what are some good brands?

I have never used one or have even seen one being used in our clinical rotations. I still have no idea what they are for or why people buy them.

I am not sure what a nursing bag is either? I use a "shoulder bag" to carry my clipboard, folders, stethescope, etc., but it isn't anything specific to nursing.

When in school, and on the job in home health, my "nursing" bag has always been a designated back pack. Roomy enough to divide up into clean and dirty, as well as usually able to find one on sale so less expensive.

I use one that I got from our local nursing union, it's like a messenger that zips. They're good because you can make sure that you keep your essentials in this bag only so you never show up to clinical without, say your stethoscope or pen light...
Thanks for all the replies. I suppose I'll wait it out and see how much I really need a bag.
