Do you have a nickname at work?

One of my coworkers has for some reason nicknamed me 'sexy knickers'...I don't mind coz he's gay...would be a different story if he was straight!! I also have been called 'the lion tamer' (we had an aggressive psych patient that I got calm with out meds)

Outside of "Blackcloud" at my last job which was nothing unique, everyone was calling me Mexiwegian because I am half Mexican and half Norwegian but our Doc and Medical Director changed it to Norexican. So that's what everyone calls me now.

Oh and in dealing with crazy patients people will tell me to go handle "my people" lol I've also been coined the urethra whisperer because I haven't had a cath I couldn't get since Nursing School.

Makes me laugh... on my last unit I was routinely refered to as "whexican." I am white but my husband is from Mexico. He has been here for over 20yrs but we do speak "spanglish" at home. Nickname came about because I would absent mindedly answer coworkers in "spanglish" when I was preoccupied. Funny that it rubbed off on some coworkers and they now routinely say "que pasa" when I call up to the floor. :-D

Hey...it really isn't that bad...some one poops, less complications...

I am VERY proud one of my greatest talents is to get patients to poop; know when they are going to poop, and WHO pooped...especially my kiddos.

Lol so many puns are open though..'you scared me ********', 'oh crappy days' lol sorry I'm feeling slightly hysterical tonight

:roflmao: Rhi007...I don't care...I'm proud of that

Working ED and trauma I frequently get called many things that I am sure would violate the tos to post. But that is par for the course for the front door of the hospitals.

I am also the "Magnet"...and it is not a postive type of magnet status. I am also referred to as "Breaking Bad" and "911." For the past few months, we have had something weird every night that I work...and about half the time it is something that requires intervention from law enforecement.
