Do you exercise on the days you work?

I was just wondering if anyone exercises on the days they work. I work thirteen hour shifts (3 days a week) and am aching and exhausted when I come home (and hungry!). However, I am doing exercise tapes which I think I would benefit me more if I do them daily. Was wondering what other nurses did..thanks! t.

I have to exercise before I go to work ... otherwise my back hurts the whole day, I'm dragging and I have absolutely no energy.

I know it's weird because I have to get up at 3 a.m. to do it, which means less sleep but, when I don't exercise beforehand ... the entire work day sucks.

oh man i just had two crazy days at work...i could barely walk down the hall last night, let alone exercise. My glutes were in pain though, so I think work should count! t.

I have oftened wondered--what is more important, sleep or exercise? I too would wake up early, exhausted, to exercise. I was losing sleep, but still exercised. Now, I wished I only had the desire to exercise. Actually, that is what I am supposed to be doing now since baby is asleep and I have to work at 3. But this is my way of procrastination.
