What are the rules for discoloration at most ltc? I know most lpns have so many patients. I

know of a someone that did not report it. Can she lose license for this? can the faclility report her to state board?

What are the discipilary actions that most ltc facility can do to someone. Is possible for her to know how this happen with so many patients?

What do you mean by discoloratIon? What was discolored?

Specializes in LTC.

Are you talking about bruises?

If so, it depends on how bad a bruise and nurse/patient history. I doubt someone could lose their license over a bruise.

Can you be more specific? What kind of discoloration? Bruise? sDTI? In my facility, an incident report needs to written when finding bruise and sDTI.

Yeah it depends as others have said...if it's a huge massive bruise that a stranger couldn't miss then yes that would be an issues but it's a small blue bruise underneath the arm or something, she does need to do an incident report, but very possible she honestly did not see if the patient did not complain of pain and was not a skin check that day or something.
