Okay Guys, I Just Recently Passed My Nclex-pn Exam And Looking Forward To Getting My Rn. My Problem Is That My Pre-requsites Are More Than 5 Years Old And In Most Schools Here In Maryland They Require You To Have Pre-requisites That Are Less Than 5 Years Old. Most Schools Want Me To Repeat These Courses, But I Don't Feel Like I Should Have To Start All Over Again From The Beginning. I've Been On Waiting List After Waiting List In Various Schools In The Past And No Reply. I've Gotton Accepted Before In A Rn Program But Wasn't Successful In Completing The Program, And That's Why I Went For The Lpn Program. I Really Want To Become A Rn, But I Refuse To Start From The Beginning. Those Anyone Know Any School That Has A 10 Limit On Pre-requisites Or That Don't Have A Time Limit At All? I've Even Thought About Going Into Another Major Completely That Would Accept My Pre-quisites Even Though I Don't Really Want To Go Into Another Major. What Suggestions Do You Have For Me?

ISU's LPN-BSN. It's a distance learning program with in-person, local clinicals. It's accepted by the Maryland BON, too. I think they're pretty good about accepting older credits. It's worth a look: http://www1.indstate.edu/nursing/programs/bs/lpn-bs/lpn-bs.htm
THANKS I JUST REQUESTED INFORMATION FROM THEM. DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THEIR NURSING PROGRAM, OR ANYONE WHO HAS BEEN THOUGH IT?

Try the distance learning forum: https://allnurses.com/forums/f125/
There are lots of posts about ISU there, as well as ISU students. I don't know much else about their program, though.

Even though there is a limit on acceptance, try to talk to them about extending that limit for you. I was told the same thing and went and talked with powers that be and I was granted credit. There are times they state something and times that they make exceptions. I hope they make an exception because I wouldn't want to be repeating any of those courses again! Good luck
THANKS, BUT I DON'T THINK THEY WOULD EXTEND THE LIMIT BECAUSE ALOT OF SCHOOLS HAVE THE SAME REQUIREMENTS.
