Does anyone use a device to insert misoprostol lady partslly for labor inductions? I am looking for something similar to this.
If you use something like this could you please reply with the manufacturer's information? I am trying to get this for our hospital in Texas.

Sorry, never seen or heard of that before. We just insert with our fingers, if we're using the lady partsl route for administration.

Yes, I have always just inserted digitally but I will be the first to admit that those tiny little pills are a PITA. I have generally gone for PO administration for this reason and because oral admin seems to result in more reliable therapeutic outcomes.

One of the units at which I have done a contract came up with a really easy way to insert misoprostol. They keep a baggie of empty gelatin capsules in the pyxis with the miso. Place the dose inside the empty capsule and it is easy to hold onto between your fingers and to feel where you've placed it. Gelatin capsule dissolves quickly in the warm moist environment so it doesn't delay the action of the med.
