When i took my RN nclex last june 24. I took my 2hrs break after 96Q and i grab my big bag w/ the review nurses book was there. When i came back fr. break 15-20minutes later, the lady in the desk ask me what's in my big bag and told them its my nurses book. TO make the story short she make incident report as what the call center told them to do but they let me finish the test. My computer stop @108-110.

When i called my BRN they told me they did not receive my result and ask me if something happen that day and i told her. The lady fr. BRN she told me she will call me back. and said it might be under investigation.

My question is , what will happen then? How long i gonna wait? Do you think this will resolve and tired of waiting . I can barely concentrate my 12shift as a LPN and worried about that b'coz they always say im one of the best nurses.:nurse:

PLS. help me to answer my question and im very exhausted. Im desperate to know pass/fail so i could move on.

Now im hoping for miracle. :saint: :bowingpur

i am sorry that you haven't heard anything yet. to be honest, when they send you the att and information, it clearly states that you cannot bring any review items and other stuff like notes, etc into the testing center. i am sure that they are not incinuating that you may have done something of that nature, but i would assume they have to look into it. i do wish you all the best, and hope your situation gets resolved soon. take care and stay positive.

It will be up to CA to make the decision since you mentioned the BRN, and they are the only ones that have a separate board for RNs.

Honestly, more than likely, you will have to retake the exam. It states very clearly that not one thing can be brought into the room with you when you test, and nothing more should be taken out of the locker other than possibly a piece of fruit or water.

Having a review book with you when you took your break is a major no-no.

I have never seen them make any exceptions to this rule. And they have to follow policy of what is written. Even having a gum wrapper in a pocket is not permitted.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that you can do but wait for a decision to be made. There is no way to hurry things up for you.

Best of luck to you and do keep us posted.

And for others that are reading, never take anything to the exam with you, especially a review book. No reason to have it with you at all.

All you can do is wait for the BRN and see what they say. It is written down not to bring review material to the center and the center has to follow guidelines that is set down if something like this happens.

Hey Runnerbe:

I hope you don't have to take it again, I really don't! Just the thought about it give me a upset stomach! Who in the world wants to take it again....you know what I mean!

Just hope and wait that everything will come out as you expect it to be!

Good luck new friend!

But for sure, incase someone does not know or is about to take the boards to remember: DON'T TAKE ANYTHING WITH YOU TO THE CENTER. EAT A GOOD MEAL, USE THE BATHROOM BEFORE, SAY A GOOD PRAYER!

Thank you for sharing your story with us.

I take my test tommorrow!

You are quite welcome. Please let us know what the final outcome is.

I am basing what I have stated from what I have seen before. As mentioned before, having a gum wrapper in a pocket was enough to get several different people have to take the exam again.

They are extremely strict on this and that is how things should be. And I cannot strive this any more.

Never take one single book or notebook with you into the facility, not one thing that could be used against you for whatever reason. Everything is to be locked up and only the snack/drink removed from it. There should not be any books or anything like that in the locker at all.

Best of luck to you.

I'm desperate too. I've recently took my Nclex-PN (since March) stopped at 85 and failed.

Suzanne, I've completed your first tip, took me bout a month and a half to finish the whole book. I should've done your program long time ago b/c I spent a great amount of money for reviews and books that didn't help. It took me awhile to be convince about your program since a lot of people have been passing. I also have a habit on reading into nclex questions and I have a lot of co-workers telling me I should take my nlcex asap but I'm a slow reader, its just overwhelming sometimes. If any1 has any study tips I'd appreciate them. thanx
