depressed... i probably failed Nclex!

Hello. I have been a reader of this website and I can pretty much say that I like the warmth and support that people here give each other. I am depressed and frustrated because until now my name has not been posted in the CA BRN website. I probably failed Nclex. I am feeling so bad because I feel dumb that I wasn't able to pass the exam when all i did was study and study each and every day straight, setting aside all the important stuff, happenings in my life and in my family. I took my exam last week Wed. before the holiday. My friend's cousin took his last Friday and his name showed up in the BRN website. how could it be possible for his name to show with just one business day, not counting the 16th which was a holiday. I am such a failure :(

Is there a way I could find out because the wait is just making me more depressed and Im starting to lose hope that I will be passing the exam. :(

sorry to hear about your situation. Have u tried looking at the pearson vue site? Is that who you had to sign up with?

Don't look at pearsonvue website as Ca doesn't participate in quick results. Average waiting time is 3-10 days and sometimes even longer. They can not tell you your results if you contact them but they can say if your file is complete of not and if not they will not release your results. We do say ring them after 2 weeks if you haven't heard anything

Yes results vary fro state to state and also whether they take part in pearsonvue quick results. If they do then you can get your results in 48 hours if not can vary from 24 hours to a couple of weeks

I've called the BRN and my file is indeed complete... Now I'm losing more hope :(

Have they said they have posted results? Until you get your results do not assume anything

they just told me that it can take 2 to 4 weeks to process results. im already assuming i didnt make it because now that i know my file is complete and that knowing someone took the exam last friday the 13th, passed this morning. :( i took mine a week ago now.

As I said don't assume anything until you have your results. Average time is 10 days and we have seen members post only recently that they took longer than 10 days to get theirs. Also remember Ca is going through some economy issues so how knows how many staff they have working and they are closed 2 days a month

I know what you feel. Just try to stay positive, even though its so super hard. I know people say don't start studying again, until you for sure know you did not pass, but studying will help the days pass by. I wish you the very best...

Sorry, but who ever told you that the last questions determines one's results does not know what they are talking about. Just not true.

For the RN license for CA, go to the website for the BRN and then go to license verification.

Once a file is complete, it then goes on to the desk of the reviewer. Depends on what your last name begins with as well as where on their desk that your file sits.

Never, ever assume anything.
