Hey everyone!
I officially accepted to DePaul! I'm extremely excited about it and looking for other classmates/students/alums. Also, any advice would be really appreciated!

Yes, I'm presently in the program and will graduate in '09. Glad to hear you're accepted.
I'd advise that you make sure you get all your paperwork and health-related stuff in order. People tend to delay on that, which causes problems later on. Also, be careful about working while in the program (if you're full time), as sometimes people find that difficult.
Careful about working, really? I checked class schedules and it looks like I'll only be going to school M-W (if I get the sections I want). Will the rest of the week really be that demanding?
I'm not sure...I know that we have some people who manage to work 2-3 days a week, and some people who used to work and then stopped. I guess it depends upon the person.

I got into DePaul also, but I am currently waiting to hear from UIC. But we could be classmates! :nuke:
Nice! I look forward to hearing from you guys. I turned down UIC (and Case) after I heard back from DePaul. Its a completely different program you know? And I can't commit to a speciality just yet. Guess we'll see if I made the right decision!
I'm pretty sure I'm going to Depaul. The only thing is that one of the classes is only offered on Monday nights...and I live like 40 miles away haha. we will see how that goes.
Do you mean Pathophysiology/Pharmacology? Its driving me crazy because my schedule looks like I'll be in class/clinicals from 8:30am to 9:15pm on Mondays because of that class. Its going to be interesting to say the least....
Sounds like we picked the same schedule. Monday I'm there from 830am-930pm and then I have class on Tues and Thurs as well. Brutal, but at least it only lasts for a quarter. I've never been on a quarter system so I will have to get used to that.
I will most likely be going to DePaul this fall.
Since I'm moving from the West Coast, could any of you current Chicago residents suggest a good nieghborhood to look for an apartment in that is close to DePaul? Thanks!!!
I have class and clinicals M-W and I'm "off" for the rest of the week. Its pretty nice, but I'm not liking the idea of that Monday. I won't be at orientation in June cause I'll be in upstate NY working with autistic children, so I stopped by to talk to Christine Werdick yesterday before the Cubs game. She gave me all these books for leisurely reading and stuff...And the titer sheet. I'm getting pretty excited. If any of you guys are on Facebook, we have a group for MENP '10 students. Go check it out!
