See NurseWeek, April 5, 2004 issue. Page 24. Is Decision Critical's staffbid system operating in Houston, Texas? E mail me if you know. Thanks.:)

I am a RN and apparently there is a company that allows nurses to get online and bid for pay. It's called staffbid. I read about it in NuseWeek.:)

I heard about this also, but it started I think in NY back in 2000.

But now I have heard it has progressed to Texas, and other states.

Do a search here on allnurses.com. There was a review a while back.

Really interesting way to get staff a hospital! How do I get a list or search for hospitals that do this "nurse bidding" across the US?

Along similar lines, there is an interesting article about "shift bidding" in NURSING 2004 this month.
