The healthcare provider has ordered 250mg/day of a medication to be administered BID. The pharmacy provides the medication as 125mg/10ml. How many teaspoons of the medication should the client receive per dose.
Here is how I worked it out
___________tsp/dose
250mg/day
2doses/day
125mg/10ml
tsp/5ml
So I set it up
tsp/5ml x 10mL/125mg x 250mg/day x day/2doses
=2500/1250
= 2tsp/dose
But the guide says the answer is 0.5...I wrote my teacher to ask for her assistance too, but I figure you guys will reply faster.
Many thanks in advance

The guide is wrong. You could do this one in your head--
250mg / 2 doses = 125mg/dose
125mg = 10cc = 2tsp
