lol OH YES! 14 days looks much better!!! Of course, the letter in our hands would look even better than 14 days! haha (I hope the baby finally went to sleep.) :)

Hey guys! I finally have my Healthcare Provider CPR certification! It was pretty easy! I met a girl who is in the same boat as me. She applied (she has a 4.0  ) but she didn't have her CPR certification either. So I felt better.

Congrats! :) Do you have to fax/take/send in proof of your CPR certification before the 15th?

Did you ask what campus was her first choice? I'm trying to prepare myself for the fact that IF I am accepted, I'll probably end up at ECC. There could quite possibly be 40 applicants with 4.0's wanting NLC! ugggh

I had called last month and the lady said for me to just hold onto it.

Yeah, I asked her, and hers is NLC. She lives in Irving.

That's right. I remember. If it was me, I'd call up there again to make sure, now that things are getting down down to the wire.

DANG IT! lol Oh well, I hope I can squeeze in still. (4.0's are good study buddies!) :lol2:

Wow, 12 days left! I have 3 more weeks of chemistry, so I'm staying pretty busy. (Except this weekend...we had a test Wednesday, so no new lecture material. I tried to study ahead, but IT'S CHEMISTRY!!!!) lol

I've actually had a great weekend though because it was my daughter's homecoming weekend.

Now Monday's back again, time to get back into study mode.

Good luck everyone who applied, and I hope everyone is doing well on their classes! :)

I applied last year and the lowest support courses GPA to get accepted into NLC was a 2.64 and the lowest into ECC was a 2.97. So it's not necessarily all of the 4.0 ones who get into NLC, at least last year it wasn't. I just don't want you to get your hopes down!!!!

Get your hopes down...lol Thanks for the word of encouragement! :)

What semester are you talking about? I know for this class now (Fall '05), it was 11 credits completed. How many credits were there completed for the support classes for the GPAs you gave? I have a 3.82 on all 17 credits for my support classes. Wow, this could be a good sign, if it hasn't changed too much! :)

I've gone to NLC, with only a few exceptions, since I graduated high school in 1991! I sure would like to stay there.

EDITED TO ADD: I have A's on all of my support classes, except 1 B on a 3 credit class. I hope I figured the 3.82 correctly...I'm going to figure it again. lol

Just wondering what school you are going to try to attend? I am so glad there is someone else out there that's in the same situation I am in. Are you going to NL or do you want to attend Brookhaven? I would be so glad to have a study buddy. I think I am going to take Math in the spring. What about you?

I am planning on BH. I am re-taking English and Psyc now. My BS is in Psyc, but I didn't get an A. I am just planning on muddling along and seeing what happens. I may try a Science in the spring, to see if I can get an A!!

I applied for the Spring of '05 and that is what was stated in the rejection letter. Yes, that was with 11 hours completed. I know it changes each semester but your GPA is awesome. If you have at least 3.77 in the pre-reqs then you're bound to get in!!! I got a B in anatomy which weighed heavier than the other courses so it brought my pre-req GPA to a 3.69 and the lowest they accepted was a 3.77. The best part was when they stated my 4.0 with 13 hours support courses did not beat out 11 hours completed with a 2.64. I guess if you can cheat your way through those 4 pre-reqs then that's all that matters! I sure don't want that person as my nurse!!! hahaha

ONLY 11 MORE DAYS!!! WOW!!!!! I hope they don't take forever to get here. Last year I got it on Oct 16th but that's on a Sunday this year so I hope they send them out on Friday the 14th. This wait is killing me!!! I can't think about anything else!!!! I know you know how I feel!!

Fun and the rest of you guys! I have been reading this thread and watching Fun's ticker although I am in a totally different state and that dang ticker is making me nervous lol. Good luck to you all, I hope you get in :)

That ticker is making me nervous, too. :clown:
