Dansko's?

Are they worth it? How should they fit?

I'm normally a 5 to 5 1/2 in heels, sandals, flats and a 5 1/2 to 6 in tennis... I recently purchased the black patent stapled in a size 35 which is a 4 1/2 to 5, but according to online reviews... I should get size 36? I tried both in store and the 36 were massive. The 35 fits me just fine and I can snugly fit my pinky in the back, but I'm afraid that I got them to small. Any suggestions? Did you guys have to get them a whole size up or did u get them just right and did they stretch?

I got mine a size up, they fit loose but I feel like I have more room. I also want to tell you it takes about a month before you can break them in well.

Danskos are worth the money in my opinion. I find them extremely comfortable. I can honestly say I have no complaints when I wear them and no complaints when they come off at the end of the day.

My first pair I bought to fit and they were very uncomfortable...when I went back to return them the people working at the store told me that you are supposed to buy them a little big. Ever since I bought the bigger size I have no complaints. I forget why exactly they said you are supposed to get them bigger...sorry.

Anyways, hope that helps.

They should be a bit on the large size. When they fit too perfectly and you walk around, there is not enough room for yiu feet to move a little. I wear a 9.5 in US women's, but in danskos I bought a 41 after trying them on. I believe that is a 10.5 acording to the size chart. I do also have wide feet though. Mine stretched a little in the upper part where the cusion is on top of the foot, but that's it. I agree with the break in time. The first couple weeks your legs might feel a bit sore and your feet tired, but once worn in they are super comfortable. Totally worth every penny. Of every shoe I've ever worn, this is the only pair that my lower back doesn't hurt after an hour or two of walking around. Its odd becausr they have no cusion, but the way they are shaped makes them super comfortable.

Also, i dont know if its the same for everyone, but ive noticed that they arent as comfortable when wearing thick sports socks. Just wear reagular socks with them.

Isn't it the way the heel is supposed to work?
