Sep 8, 20187 yr Hello everyone! Has anyone applied for spring 2019?I have applied on sept 04, 2018 with 30 points.
Nov 14, 20187 yr HI guys! I applied as well, and I am actually about to attend an info session! I calculated and I should have 27 -28 points depending on if they count a course I took at CSULB that is like life skills for undeclared students. I'll be sure to ask them when they will be notifying people. I am hoping for Fall admission , because I heard it's less competitive at Cypress. Good luck to everyone :). I was wondering if you guys know the stats of precious cohorts
Nov 14, 20187 yr Also I got an 84 on the TEAS. I thought the trickiest part was the reading personally, but if you did well in anatomy and physio the science is very easy and random. The Math is a piece of cake it's just basic algebra and the english section is just grammar !
Nov 15, 20187 yr Denise said that emails will be sent out the last week of november. If you are not notified by december 1st come in and talk to her. 25 of the applicants had 30 points
Nov 15, 20187 yr Thanks for clearing up the date. Wow that is a lot of people. Does that mean that people that do not have 30 points are not getting in?
Nov 15, 20187 yr She said they accept 40-50 students per cohort, but some are from the chronological wait list. People need at least 28 points to be competitive for either fall or spring!
Nov 19, 20187 yr Author Thank you for the info! 75% are from the rank order list and 25% are from the chronological list, so at least 30 students will be accepted from rank order list.
Nov 26, 20187 yr I called the nursing dept and the person told me maybe wednesday, but before 30th for sure. Anyone have any new info on when we'll be getting emails?
Nov 26, 20187 yr Hello everyone,I'm applying for cypress in this spring 2019 also. I'm pretty sure I have 30 points so I'm hoping to get in right away but I read the forum last year and a lot of people had 30 points but still had to wait till fall. So, I'm just crossing my fingers. Anyway, it's 26 Nov and I'm checking my email every hour now. Hope to get the result soon. Anyone has the result yet?
Nov 27, 20187 yr they go down the rank order list and accept everyone with the highest number of points, so if you have 30 you should get in, because she said 25 applicants had 30 points, and they accept around 30 from the rank order list. The people on last years forum may have thought they had the full 30. You can always go into the health division center and give them your application number and check the amount of points they gave you. For Fall semester people with 29 and 28s have a really high chance getting in, because the 30s were accepted for spring semester and there's not a new wave of people applying for fall.
