I am a new grad and have an interview scheduled this week to work in a CVICU in the Bay Area, CA. I would LOVE to work there and really want to ace this interview! Any tips on how to prepare? (What might they ask me? What should I review/study up on?)
Thanks!

I'd focus on willingness to learn, looking for long-term work there (many units are afraid of hiring new nurses for fear they will move on to CRNA school, for example after they have their one year in), maybe have a story ready as to why you want to work in critical care?

Have a good reason why you want to work there or ICU in general. Since you have no experience to show off, you need to sell yourself. They want to know that you can handle the pressure of a stressful situation, so have examples of how you would handle yourself (running out of the unit crying is not a good one!). Anyway, good luck!
Great, thanks so much for the tips! Fingers crossed...
