Current NHS issues

Published

Hi everyone

Just a quick question, does anyone know what the most recent and current issues in the NHS are? I am going for an interview in the endoscopy unit on the 16th for a staffnurse post and in the person specs they want the person to have some knowledge about current nhs issues... I was looking on the DOH website this morning and came across a proposal for the change of healthcare professional regulation... is this a current nhs issue or is this something completely different?? (very confused)

Hope you guys can shed some light..

Thanks

good luck with your interview

for me at the moment the most pertinent issue in the NHS is whether i will have the right amount of staff on my shift

Specializes in med/surg.

There is also all this recent change to pay by service provided per patient rather than a set budget. I used that one in my interview earlier on in the year! Got the job.

Best bet is to read the current Nursing Times/Standard & pick a couple of bits up from there - they like to see you're keeping up with current affairs! Just don't hark on about the REALLY bad stuff:nurse:

Good luck
