CT tech lpn program

Has anyone gotten their book lists? I wanted to try and get some of the books before school started. I already have the stethoscope and, the penlight, the eye measure, the blood pressure cuff. I just want to know what the books are.

Not yet... We might receive something after Thanksgiving break. Has anyone taken their CPR for Healthcare providers class yet? I wonder if the school will provide us with a listing of places. I found info at the Red Cross website but I'm unable to attend the two days that are being offered.

Yeah I know she said this week but that's cutting it close to Xmas shopping. I wanted to start buying books and putting aside money now, not wait til last minute.

I already have my CPR, check to see if the red cross is giving it in other towns, most have a 1 day all day Sat course that will help knock it out for you.

Yeah no i don't know anything else you can call them and they should be able to answer questions. i know i have kinda stalked them, cause I want to get this going so I get closer to my dream!!

Most town EMS usually offer the cpr services. I'm not sure what town you are in, but I live in the Hartford area and the Town of East Windsor offers the CPR services every Tuesday. You can look them up in the phone book or online. Plus it is only $65.

I just called vinal tech. I was informed that information on books and supplies will be mailed next week.

Also, has anyone come up with ways to pay for this program after finanical aide. I need some suggestions. I know I am only going to get some finanical aide, not the full amount.

I believe that all the schools will be mailing out the same info. Please call your school directly for more info. I will share the info in my letter as soon as I receive it.

I called the school today, and they said that the information will be mailed out next week.

Thanks Toni0929 for giving me the info for the CPR class. I actually work at BPT hosp and found out they offer CPR/AED classes here for employees :) I registered to take the class mid December. i got my letter today. Whoa, we have a lot of books to get and the prices aren't cheap. Plus we have to get lab uniforms and school uniforms.
