Has anyone applied for spring 2012 ABSN program at CSU San Marcos? I applied back in june and now that I have seen the average scores for the Fall 2011 program I am in a state of panic. Sure I meet the average for the other cohorts, but I am definately at the low end of the fall 2011.
I just wanted to know if anyone had applied for the spring 2012 ABSN program and how do you feel about your chances.

Hi Rpelayo,
I applied to the CSUSM ABSN 2012. I haven't heard anything from them yet. (Hopefully I, and you, will soon!) I think I have a pretty decent chance of getting in, but of course I don't want to jinx myself. You mentioned you're concerned about your stats, I attended an information session and learned the best way to increase your total points is to re-take the TEAS and perform better. A higher score on the TEAS can really boost your overall score.
Best of luck! :)
Hello Hello!
I actually did retake the Teas exam and scored MUCH higher the second time. So now I feel much better about my chances, but I am still nervous. I emailed CSUSM on Monday and they told me 4 to 6 weeks I should hear something. We shall see.
Best of luck to you too! :)
AWESOME! Great job! I'm sure everything will work out.
Sooo... 4-6 weeks you should be hearing something, as in acceptance or the Pre-Admission Advising Worksheet? I received my Pre-Admin sheet in July and now I'm waiting to hear something new... (i.e. acceptance hopefully?!)

Hey all, I'm in the process of applying right now for Spring 2012 in san marcos, i just sent in my TEAS and app + app fee. I have two of my transcripts and just waiting on one more to send them all in! Hopefully I'm not too late in applying, i know its a rolling application process... i guess we'll see!!
I just sent in my second TEAS scores in last monday, but I applied in the beginning of July. I still have not heard anything from them, then last monday they said 4 to 6 weeks, so I am not sure if that is for the worksheet or for acceptance?
amyca, how long did it take them to send you the advising worksheet?
@ Rpelayo: I think it took about 10 weeks for them to send me my Pre-Admin Advising Worksheet. When I applied I sent everything at once (TEAS and all transcripts). I'm not sure if the wait is the same, shorter, or longer.
Hope this helps!
10 WEEKS!!!!! *sigh* I sent all my suff in together too 6 weeks ago, then retook the TEAS and sent the score in last week. Well this is most insghtful, now I know not to be on edge for at least another 4 weeks. I bet we don't find out if we get accepted till November.
So I looked at the posts from last year and it looks like people started to find out if they got in, in the beginning to mid October.
@rpelayo:
I know what you mean! In spite of knowing that I probably won't hear for a few more weeks I still anxiously check my email/mail everyday!
You're right, it does look as though Spring 2011 began to hear news around October '10. It seems logical to assume this is when we'll hear from them too... but I'll still keep my fingers crossed for sooner!
I'll post if I hear anything.
HEHE I too have been checking my email almost every hour, especially when my boss angers me! lol I am just like, "ok I can hear something now! I don't want to be here anymore"
I will post something as well if I hear something!

Hey everyone! I'm taking the TEAs test this Friday and I'm freaking out! I've spent the last month studying for this thing. Any tips?
I agree, after seeing the stats for this most recent cohort I feel like I have to do amazingly well on this test to get into the program!
I applied late July with everything except for my TEAs and one last transcript. I should be able to send them my TEAs score next week, but unfortunately my last transcript won't get to them till Dec when I finish my last class. I'm so worried I won't make it for this Spring!
