Hello everyone!
I couldn't find a forum for this year's pre-nursing students that are applying to CSULB so I made one myself! Anyway, I know I'm not the only one who wants to compare scores or see if their scores are competitive, so here it is...
I'll start it off...
GPA (SCIENCE) : 3.7 = 3.7 pts
GPA (GE) : 4.0 = 2 pts
TEAS OVERALL : 87% = 1.74
TEAS READING : 86% = 1.72
TOTAL POINTS = 9.16 pts
Im planning to retake the TEAS for the THIRD TIME and try to get 90%+ on both, and yes, Chemistry messed me up, ifykyk.
Sorry if my english/grammar is trash, its my lowest score on the TEAS ^_^
DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED.. DO NOT LOSE HOPE!! WE ALL GOT THIS ❤️
Update! Just retook the exam and got 96% overall and 91.5% on the reading ?

Hi! I plan to apply too! Congrats on the TEAS! Impressive scores ?
I'll be taking TEAS in a few days and will share my stats. Did you take it online at home? Did you get to see the score as soon as you were done?
Any tips/advice regarding TEAS? I'm really nervous LOL

That’s so exciting, I know it’s nerve racking but try you’re best and you’ll do amazing. Here’s some tips and resources that helped me:
Reading: I struggled. Used Carolyn McAllister on Youtube. I also used the Youtube playlist I posted above. I used the 5 TEAS practice tests book and I think practicing really helped. Also loved the nurse hub practice tests for reading and English.
Math: I really only needed review so I only used Brandon craft’s Youtube videos which really helped me with some topics I struggled with (percents). But if you need further help I do know you can purchase practice problems from his website. I also know another YouTuber called Jakarta Lewis who also has math videos and practice problems for sale.
Science: also my strong suit since I had just taken anatomy and physiology. if you really need in-depth help try science with Susana (https://www.sciencewithsusanna.com). I also loved the smart edition book and videos
I loved the videos for Chemistry and biology. I’m pretty sure it also comes with practice tests, although personally I think the questions for science are simple compared to the TEAS, it’s good to see if you understand the information.
I also highly recommend the B and C ATI practice tests ($80) which comes with a full anatomy and physiology practice test (it’s a little harder than the real test but I think it prepares you for the format and the test)
I also watched crash course anatomy and physiology on Youtube and I loved it. It also has a crash course app which comes with practice questions. Science with Susana also has quizlets and practice problems.
English: also really struggled. I loved Carolyn McAllister on Youtube. Also this file from a facebook study group (https://lookaside.fbsbx.com/file/ENGLISH%20SECTION%20%28TEAS%29%20Elizabeth%20Tran.pdf?token=AWzD1oQ5IVQbbCVU2rZVJ4zqJl1O4FPq9NQLosfxIWe7JVLHqTg_TeBSAZc0Grr5a5yE-cJoyYygjPtJdPPADeiTg60lHW6h6K4qNvG17KSNQai5RtZflPu0OgaU1THJSpQHxYwrXVOuV_-Mwu1IKYCJlX49Qpg553GLBBbDXjqbVnMBdg75iRD2VOdduXirH7hDzOQHj9tdykaW0Uajw0zm). The smart edition book and videos were great. Also the grammar book website (link should be below)

Congratulations on your scores! I wish you and everyone else the best of luck in applying to such a competitive program
Hello, I took it online. Yes, I got the scores as soon as the test ended. My tip is to take the exam again the second time and look over the topics to review, they are basically the missed questions. There is a high chance for you to get a similar exam, which means a higher score the second time around.
Good luck on the exam! I am applying with a 9.45 score to the program, hopefully it is enough!!

Hi all, I currently have 9.22 but I’m retaking the TEAS for the second time in hopes of getting a higher score. I didn’t do too hot the first time (82.7%). Good luck to everyone!

Good luck! Don’t give up, I had to retake the test three times before getting the score I wanted : )

Best of luck! We still have until September 21 to submit our application/TEAS results ? AND BTW, we can submit more than 1 application, the school of nursing ONLY accepts the latest submission.

Thank you for the reminder, also make sure to send your TEAS transcripts to “CSULB” or “CSULB-TEAS” whichever comes out. For me, it appeared as just CSULB

Thank you! As for the application, are you referring to the application that’s on their website? I’m taking my TEAS again this Friday. I hope I do well but if not I’ll retake it on 09/19 (30 days later) right before the deadline as a 3rd attempt.
Just to make sure, we have to send in our official TEAS score before 09/21, right? And is anyone applying as a second degree applicant?

Yes, you are correct. I am a pre-nursing student at CSULB, good luck on your retake!

EDIT: just found it! WOW
Hi everyone. This may be a silly question but after sending the application, I was confused as to if they required transcripts to be sent at this time. Do they? If so, what is the email to send them electronically?? I assume they want to TEAS sent as well correct? If I could get the email to send, that would be awesome!
