CSULB Spring 2022

Hello everyone!

I couldn't find a forum for this year's pre-nursing students that are applying to CSULB so I made one myself! Anyway, I know I'm not the only one who wants to compare scores or see if their scores are competitive, so here it is...

I'll start it off...

GPA (SCIENCE) : 3.7 = 3.7 pts

GPA (GE) : 4.0 = 2 pts

TEAS OVERALL : 87% = 1.74

TEAS READING : 86% = 1.72

TOTAL POINTS = 9.16 pts

Im planning to retake the TEAS for the THIRD TIME and try to get 90%+ on both, and yes, Chemistry messed me up, ifykyk.

Sorry if my english/grammar is trash, its my lowest score on the TEAS ^_^

DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED.. DO NOT LOSE HOPE!! WE ALL GOT THIS ❤️

Hi everyone, I heard that we can send the nursing application on their website more than once and the most recent one will be kept. Does anyone know whether this is true or not? I’m retaking my TEAS a day before the deadline and I was wondering if I should send in the app with my current TEAS score now and re-submit when I retake it again.

I emailed the school of nursing regarding that matter and they confirmed that they only review the latest submission of your application.

In your case, its a bit risky but I would send your current TEAS score now then re-submit. I heard the university receives the test results within a few hours but I wouldn't risk it, so just send the results and re-submit when you retake it.

Hopefully it all works out!

@NurseInProgress01 By the way, do you know if I send in 2 official TEAS score, will they look at my highest or most recent one as well or just the first one I send in?

If you sent two TEAS, just input the one you want them to look at in the nursing application. In the nursing application it will ask for the date you took it (the one you want them to look at) and it asks for the total score and the reading score. So even if  you sent more than one (like I did) they’ll know which one to look at.

Hi! For the people who were hoping for a second or third try on the TEAS, did you still include your first score on the Cal State Apply application in the "Program Materials" OR did you put the date that you are hoping to make another attempt at the TEAS?!

Hi there! I put my first attempt and sent them my score. If I do better, I plan on re-submitting a new application and re-send my new score.

Can someone help me understand if the GE GPA they look at is the cumulative GPA or the GE GPA of the prerequisites (Stats, oral, written, critical).

It would be only the GE GPA, not cumulative ?

Hi! I filled out the nursing application and it looks like they look at two GPAs. The first is the GE GPA and the second is the science GPA (so the science courses like anatomy, physiology, Chemistry, and Microbiology)

Anyone else willing to share their stats? ☺️

From the last forum, I've seen people getting in Spring with an overall score of 9.35+, hopefully this Spring its equivalent to that. I believe if you have a score of 9.5+ you are very likely to get in.
