CSULB Fall 2015 Applicants-Basic BSN

I am extremely surprised there isn't a thread that exists for students applying to CSU LB for Fall 2015!!

Here are my stats, but enlighten me on one part, what does the general gpa consist of? I actually went to CSULB and met Monalisa, but she said the nursing program only looks at eight classes... Maybe I should call to reassure how they calculate the cummulative GPA, but my other scores are set.

Science GPA: 4.0: 4

TEAS Math: 100 : 2

TEAS Overall: (90.7x2)100:1.814

GE GPA: TBA

So far so good, but being that a 3.0 is the cut off gpa for general and science for the program I am giving myself a 3.0/2= 1.5 as a score and my points would be a 9.314 as a default. Hopefully it will be higher.

I got an email recently from ----------------- confirming they have received my application. Im glad for this confirmation I was actually getting worried since I mailed it in.

Wow, you guys have some really good scores...

Here is my score:

Science GPA: 3.765

Overall GPA: 2

Teas Math (100%): 2

Teas Overall (86.7%): 1.734

Total: 9.499~ 9.50

I'm so worried now after seeing the cutoff was 9.63 last year..

Where did you get that information? According to their website last fall the stats were:

Rating Average – 9.39 (range 9.92– 9.35)

Maybe (s)he meant 9.36 instead of 9.63?? I saw that range on the stats pool too, so I'm also confused.

How did you guys calculate your points?

For the TEAS, do we look at the "adjusted individual score" or the national rank?

(Science GPA/4)*4

(General prereq GPA/4)*2

(TEAS Math adjusted individual score/100)*2

(TEAS Overall adjusted individual score/100)*2

Hope this helps! :)

My stats:

GE GPA: 4.0

Science GPA: 4.0

TEAS overall: 82.7%

TEAS Math: 96.7%

Points: 9.59

Thank you, it does! :)
