CSULA Fall 2021

Hi all!
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSULA Fall 2021 for the BSN Nursing track in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey.

I was wondering if anyone has applied and knew if CSULA requires verification for volunteer hours in their NursingCAS application portion? Also, will they accept any amount of volunteer hours under 50? I know you can add a document. Thank you!

Has anyone been able to start the NursingCAS app? I can’t find CSULA on there....

Hi guys,

I'm applying with a 3.86 GPA, 87.3% TEAS, and over 200+ of volunteer hours. I'm also bilingual but I'm not sure if they take that into consideration. As for transcripts, we have to wait until Fall grades are posted right? I also had a question regarding AP scores, do I send that at the same time as my TEAS and my transcripts?

I recommend you attend the info session. There’s one on Dec 1st and 3rd. You can ask how to input Ap credit

Hi! Than you for responding. Where did you find information about the session? I can't seem to find it. I would really appreciate it if you would direct me to link ?

I have work those days, do you mind letting us know about AP credits and transcripts after you find out?

I didn't end up going today because they gave me the wrong PIN but I'll go to the Thursday one!

Here's the link for the 2021 NursingCAS application if anyone is struggling to find it. I couldn't find CSULA on it initially but I found out it was because I was on the old app.

I think you should include any amount of experience since it’s one of the three main things they look for. And I love the idea of this thread, I’m feeling nervous too and I think we can all share stats here to see where we stand!

what are your stats?

I'm looking at the application on NursingCAS and I'm confused by what they mean when it says "Prerequisite courses cannot be repeated, and the original grade must be a B or better to be considered." I've only "repeated" 2 science prereqs: Microbiology and Anatomy. Microbiology I got an F on the first attempt and then an A on the second attempt. I withdrew from Anatomy and then I transferred to a different college and got an A in anatomy. I'm just wondering if that goes against the requirements since I never originally got credit for these courses during my first attempt and I didn't repeat them for a higher grade?
