CSULA APRN/FNP Program 2019

Hey fellow nurses!

I just want to start a thread for those of you that applied to the CSULA NP program starting in fall 2019, since I haven’t seen one yet ?

I received an interview invitation for 3/16th kinda nervous! I’m 24 from NJ, have been an RN for 1.5yrs! I applied to the FNP program, can’t wait to move to the sunny California soon!

let me know where you guys are from and what specialty are you choosing?

Hi guys!

It was so nice to probably have met some of you. I interviewed for AGACNP, but really think they are going to give me AGNP. My interview luckily didn't feel rushed and they asked me 3 questions with a few more follow up ones. I am so excited to hear back. Question for you y'all, when interviewed they talked about finding me a specialty practice or one in Ed. Do they help with placement, because I was under the impression that we were going to be responsible for that aspect(a huge reason why I even considered USC even with its hefty price).

Ahhh so excited! Hope everyone here gets in

Oh you guys had face to face interviews! Mine was like FaceTime using Zoom! So maybe that’s why...

and do u mean CSULA or USC?

yes hope we all get in!

Mine was in person

I interviewed in person with CSULA for an 1130 interview that ran an hour+ behind. I was asking about CSULA, I was wondering if they found our sites or if we had to get them independently, since during my interview they said things that made it seem like they would be helping with clinical sites.

Hi there! Has anybody heard back from the school yet? It says that we were supposed to hear back on or before March 29 which is tomorrow.

Nothing for me so far, have been checking my email and the csula email daily(more times than I care to admit ?)

I just got my acceptance email to the ACNP program!!

I just got mine for adult Np!!Which I am guessing is primary care, so happy and excited!

I got the acceptance email as well! ACNP! Congrats to all of us that got in :)

I also received my acceptance email for Adult Gero NP. Congrats everyone!

Hi Psych.nurse! Seeing that you applied to this program, I had a few questions. I’m interested in CSULA PMHNP but only have Med/Surg/Telemetry and Acute dialysis experience. I’ve been trying to apply to psych jobs but with no luck. Do you know how competitive it was to get into the program with no psych experience? I went to a cal state for my BSN and I had a great learning experience, and do not feel comfortable doing those online programs. Also did you have to interview? Thanks!
