CSULA APRN/FNP Program 2019

Hey fellow nurses!

I just want to start a thread for those of you that applied to the CSULA NP program starting in fall 2019, since I haven’t seen one yet ?

I received an interview invitation for 3/16th kinda nervous! I’m 24 from NJ, have been an RN for 1.5yrs! I applied to the FNP program, can’t wait to move to the sunny California soon!

let me know where you guys are from and what specialty are you choosing?

Hi everyone! I'll be interviewing for AGNP. I'm so nervous!

I don't believe there is any writing test for CSULA.

The same thing happened to me, but I prefer working with adults anyway. Does anyone know how many people are accepted per program?

Anyone also aware if it will be a panel interview...or how many people we'll be interviewing with?

There were 2 people in the interview, it was very rushed....considering the amount of people they have to interview. They only asked one question, which is "what do you see yourself in the NP role". as opposed to other schools who asked me atleast 5-8 questions. Not sure if it went good or bad...didn't get a clear vibe. We'll see!

I was asked about 4-5 questions. I feel my interview went okay but the list of interviews looked pretty long ?

I interviewed for my second choice Adult Gero. When I got there they told us they were running behind schedule. Maybe that is why your interview felt rushed.

Oh right! We were talking about this before...lol I have the memory of a gold fish!

Did you start early on in the interview? Like before 12pm pacific time?

Hi guys!

It was so nice to probably have met some of you. I interviewed for AGACNP, but really think they are going to give me AGNP. My interview luckily didn't feel rushed and they asked me 3 questions with a few more follow up ones. I am so excited to hear back. Question for you y'all, when interviewed they talked about finding me a specialty practice or one in Ed. Do they help with placement, because I was under the impression that we were going to be responsible for that aspect(a huge reason why I even considered USC even with its hefty price).

Ahhh so excited! Hope everyone here gets in

Haha its cool, my memory is crappy too. My interview time was at 2PM and my interview began at about 2:10 PM. My program wasn't running as late as acute care...they were over an hour behind when I arrived lol. Did your interview start on time?
