CSUF ABSN Fall 2020

Hello! I wanted to create a thread for those interested in/planning on applying to the CSUF ABSN Fall 2020 cohort. Applications open up in a couple of days! I just wanted to know how everyone is feeling about themselves and create a place where we can talk about the process.

Don't believe there's already a thread created, but if there is, please link the thread haha

@fobbymomo good thing you have that! I do not. And yes, I included essay points.

@nelle Hey, Nelle! It's nearing the end of the application cycle and I was wondering how your application is coming along? ?

@Futurenurse246 Glad to see someone else on this topic! (I see a lot of lurkers, but no posters haha) How are you calculating your score with the essay points?

Hi everyone! I applied as well. Does anyone know if the prerequisite GPA points are based solely on the sciences, or if it includes English, Stats, etc??

Good luck to all! I got my confirmation email from CSUF that they received my application. Waiting game begins!

I think it's including all of the prereq's, science and non-science.

I got my confirmation email and a request for my official transcripts from all the schools I have been to......except I went to CSUF LOL

Good luck to everyone who applied!

Hi! Was your confirmation email from Admissions and Records or the School of Nursing?

It was from Admissions and Records.

Hello there,

I applied for FALL 2020... what would be a competitive point?

Also, I had an issue with my essay... I thought I meant 3200 words.. when it was only characters.. I am so stupid!

Hi! You can calculate your points here: http://nursing.fullerton.edu/programs/acceleratedbsn/selection.php

From previous years, I think they sent out interview invites to applicants that had 70 points or higher. However, every year is different so that number will definitely change.

Sorry to hear about your essay ? Hopefully you were able to revise it accordingly in time!

Can anyone help me to calculate my overall cumulative GPA?

I am a little confusing with that.

I have a degree from other country, which was evaluated by IERF. My overall GPA was 3.1, 137 units

I study in two community colleges here in U.S.

College 1

GPA 4.0 , 28 units

College 2

GPA 3.94, 47 units

How to calculate it?
