CSN Spring 2016

I know it's incredibly early, there's not even a board for Fall 2015 and their applications are due in 2 months, but I can't wait.

Is there anyone else here planning on applying for the Spring 2016 program?

I'm taking Biology 223 and 251 this semester. I'm also taking my TEAS on the 17th so I have time to take it more than once if need be. I figure I'll have 31 or 32 points. Everything except Biology 224 (which I'll be taking during the fall 15 semester) and previous medical experience, since massage therapy doesn't count.

I'm just curious if any of my potential future classmates are here already, reading up on things like I am.

Do we sign up for the toolbox class when spring registration begins or do we wait for all those details at the first orientation?

Toolbox is first come first serve and is not required by the nursing program. If you plan to take it I would recommend signing up for it as soon as spring registration opens.

I asked at the signing and she said register when it's your enrollment date.

Thank you!

Congrats everyone. At the orientation, take note on how to get your immunizations. You have a pretty small window (just a few weeks) to get it right.

First semester update:

I just completed both my lab and clinical head to toe assessments. No problems. Passed without any issues. Everyone studies and passes their tests differently. Find 2-3 people you can rely on to study with throughout the semester. I know people in my cohort that can spit out all the information about an upcoming exam you could ever imagine, then fail a test (or two!!!) because of test anxiety. Other than that, just three more clinical sessions left and 5 weeks total. It goes SOOOOOOO FAST!!!! Be on top of everything. If you procrastinate, you will fail (I've seen it already). And studying for these tests is different than studying for A and P. You'll find out in January.

Congrats again!

Does anyone know if there is someone to talk to about excess credits? I'm trying to come up with a way to get out of paying more. lol Is there a way around it once you're in the program?

Just submit the appeal and make sure you submit for graduation if you haven't already done so. If you don't qualify for anything specific then do the general studies degree. Once you do that and show proof of your acceptance to the program then the excess credit fee will fall off. You may need to submit the appeal every semester so just stay on top of it early. It takes like 6 weeks for them to process.

Hey guys just wanted to confirm that this is the drug test receipt we bring in on Friday

Also they only take check or cash! But there is an ATM next to the window.

This is a really dumb question but did these have to be bought at the W Charleston cashier. I got freaked out because I got mine from Cheyenne and it wasn't yellow.

The paper said from Charleston. Mine isn't yellow either. I just went and paid after I got my letter.

Does yours look like mine? I said I needed to pay for my drug screening for the nursing program and she knew exactly what to do. Mine is not yellow either.
