CSN Spring 2016

I know it's incredibly early, there's not even a board for Fall 2015 and their applications are due in 2 months, but I can't wait.

Is there anyone else here planning on applying for the Spring 2016 program?

I'm taking Biology 223 and 251 this semester. I'm also taking my TEAS on the 17th so I have time to take it more than once if need be. I figure I'll have 31 or 32 points. Everything except Biology 224 (which I'll be taking during the fall 15 semester) and previous medical experience, since massage therapy doesn't count.

I'm just curious if any of my potential future classmates are here already, reading up on things like I am.

You can look up the SP 2016 schedule on MyCSN. I didn't know most classes had 3 components to them.

Yes. All NURS courses in the ADN program are three parts. Lecture, Lab, and Clinical. There is day and night clinicals available and also online lectures. For first semester 101 is three parts but pharmacology is just a lecture component. For 101 you will have all three components the entire semester. For second semester that changes. Lab becomes much shorter weeks wise.

They must all be out to lunch, I tried 4 different #'s I'll try again around 2:00

When you call if they don't give you a specific day, say something like "Well my children don't have school on Friday due to Nevada Day, will the office be closed too? Are we to assume the calls will be before the 30th because of Nevada day?" Lol

HELP, I'm driving myself nuts. I was reading old threads on here, one from 2014 and I saw someone say something about needing a sub-waiver form if you use math 100 instead of math 120 to calculate your GPA??? I did take both classes but the better grade was math 100 so that's what I put. I have re-read the checklist and application over and over and I don't see that anywhere. But I'm panicking cause I know how that school can be with new rules and how one person say one thing and someone else says something completely different. Anyone know?

OMG! she said calls are coming this FRIDAY!!!! and the answer to my last post was no sub- waiver. I'm so nervous, good luck everyone.

Really? That's awesome! Based on older threads, they seem to call on Wednesdays or thursdays...maybe they said Friday to give them a chance to call out? Either way I hope we find out soon...

Math 120 gives you 10 points on your application. Math 100 is allowed to be used but is not points on the application I believe. It is only points for GPA not additional. Sub waiver would be required if you took Biol 190 instead of 189. Then you needed to submit the approved sub waiver for the substitution.

Glad you got your answer!! I got super nervous for you for a second! Phew!!! I also have been looking over the application and checklist and keep thinking I might have done something wrong but I went over that thing so many times.

When I read calls are coming Friday I got the chills so bad and tears keep coming to my eyes lol! Dramatic much. I can't believe it's Friday. I'm so nervous.

Katyc123, I don't think you're dramatic, we have all worked so hard and waited so long! I just hope she wasn't just saying Friday so I'll quit bugging. It seemed like in the past is was a Wed or Thur so maybe it'll be sooner than Friday. I'm more nervous and anxious now than I was before I knew. lol

I think we will all be on this page tomorrow hoping and prating that we start receiving calls! Lol!

Yea it would make sense for it to be during the week rather than a Friday just in case people missed the calls and then it's after hours and they have to wait Til Monday!! Ahhhh just want to know!

I've already told my 224 lab professor I'm giving her my phone tomorrow before the quiz and that if a CSN number calls during the quiz she needs to answer it lol.
