CSN Spring 2015

Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.

When I bring up the nurs 101 book list, it has 6 mandatory and 13 recommended, there is one listed at 800 or 438/no text book on the recommended list, do you recommed getting the 800 one plus we still have al those other ones as well

The 800 one is likely hard copies + ebooks and the 438 is probably ebooks only. It really depends on what your learning style is. I've never bought any recommended books and I've always done just fine.

Have you used any of the ebooks before? do you find that they are easy to navigate on a tablet, ipad, or laptop? I am normally not the ebook type but at the rate that these books are costing I might have to become one ?

I feel the same dont really want to have the books on a device, but that is like double the price, I have had the bio books online and it was actually fine.def would not put it on my tablet its too slow, but maybe the ipad is faster

I really like the platform that Elsevier uses for our ebooks. It's different than what actually comes with the book. I think it was money well spent.

Also, it works just fine on my iPad, iPhone, Android phone and PC.

I was thinking about buying an iPad specifically for my nursing books. Are you able to download the books and use without wifi or are they only accessible with Internet connection?

I was thinking the same thing and then I saw that they are almost $500!!! On amazon they have a Fire HD with a 6 inch screen for only $100 im waiting til black friday or cyber monday to see if they post any deals on it.

I have a galaxy 7 inch tablet but I'm looking to get something larger to carry around for my books instead of my HP laptop.

You can download them and access them without wifi but they take up a ton of space. Mine is only 16gb and they take up most of that. Sometimes I have to delete one and download another when I need it. If you have a higher capacity iPad you will be fine though. I have no problems with wifi though. Everywhere I go has it (home, work, school, hospitals, Starbucks...).

A 6" Galaxy screen cannot compare to the 10" iPad screen IMO. Try to find a larger Galaxy of you can.

Thanks now that you guys mention that youre probably right.

Is the $400 bundle of ebooks all 4 semesters of the program?
