CSN Spring 2015

Is anyone applying for Spring 2015 Nursing Program 2015? I applied for Fall 2014 with 37 points and will be applying for Spring 2015 with 38 points. Does anyone have pointers for the application process? Has anyone gone to the limited entry workshop? I have been discouraged, and need some uplifting information.

So does anyone know about UNLVs program? How many they accept? if there's a waiting list? If the program is better or worse than CSN or even NSC? I'm trying to explore all options and in looking into it I only need 3 classes in order to apply for Fall 2015 just in case I don't get in with CSN for the Spring.

Does anyone know about how the procedure for registration goes in case one does get accepted? I wonder if we will get a call (if one do get one) and enough information before the Nov 3rd priority registration? ..

Registration is different for nursing students. You won't pick your 1st semester schedule until orientation and you won't be able to register on mycsn for those classes until the registrar changes your major to AAS nursing which could take several days from the time you sign yor acceptance. You will be able to choose from several schedule options where your lecture, lab and clinical for each course is bundled together. Unfortunately you will not know instructors or clinical sites until long after you pick your times. Once you get to second semester it's a slightly different process. You will learn much more at orientation. Also, when you are picking your schedules make sure it works with your work/family/life because you can only change if space permits on a certain day.

When is orientation usually?

Oh I see.. You are so awesome Christina371 for always giving us advice and information it really means alot!! Thank you!

Has anyone asked recently what the point minimum is?

She said it could go up from 30 but she doesn't really know since selection isn't done

I agree. Thank you for being so helpful!!!

I see that the new degree sheets listed for 2015 shows an option after first semester of nursing at CSN for students to apply for the BSN at NSC. Is that a direct transfer do u guys think to begin as a second semester nursing student there?

did she sound optimistic for your score @rachmt86 ?

Sort of. She said that my score is certainly competitive but not to count my chickens before they hatch.
