Feb 8, 201115 yr I applied today! I applied last semester too, but because of the massive amount of applications, I was denied. Crossing my fingers for FALL!!!! Has anybody else applied?
Apr 28, 201115 yr I got my call at about 2 today, but from what I've read on this forum there is no way they made all of the calls today. I had 33 points so I pretty much knew I was going to get in, was still anxious to have it official though. A friend of mine was called as an alternate and she had 26 points, so I'm assuming the cutoff for full-time admission was 27 and they did a drawing to determine the alternates. I'm not sure how they decide which alternate is selected 1st or anything, but am assuming it is based on when your name was drawn. Good luck to all who haven't gotten the call, and congratulations to those who have!!!
Apr 28, 201115 yr Did they change the points? I swear I had 27, but looking at the sheet now I have 28..Hmmm
Apr 28, 201115 yr I was so glad. Got the call around 3pm today. I had 28 points. Hope to see everyone at the orientation. Oh yeah, for anyone who is already in the program or someone who has finished the program, ANY and all advice will be so appreciated. Please and thank you!! :tku:
Apr 28, 201115 yr so my friend who has 30 points still hasnt gotten called and neither have I with 26... there doesnt seem to be a rhyme or reason for the order they are calling... so frustrating! for all you posting that you got in can you PLEASE post points?? thanks!
Apr 28, 201115 yr Congrats to everyone who made it!! :yelclap:Does anyone happen to know about the points for the PT program? I know most apply for FT, but curious if any of you might have heard.

Apr 28, 201115 yr I currently have 26, but I'm almost done with Micro. In the past, they really have been unable to complete all of the calls on the first day. If someone's phone number is unable to be contacted or if it hasn't been updated (it took me awhile to check previous forums to discover this, so if anyone was waiting for my response, i am sorry), then they could e-mail you later or find some other means of making contact with you. It definitely is in some kind of random order. We'll see what happens in the mornin'.

Apr 28, 201115 yr Does anyone know how being an alternate works? If for some reason an applicant who got accepted changes his/her mind about the school/program his/her spot becomes available for an alternate which would be randomly selected.
Apr 28, 201115 yr Does anybody know how being an alternate works? and what are their chances of getting in? I'm curious to know because we are required to attend if we want to be considered and I was just wondering if it was woth it to go or just reapply next semester. Also, do you know how many alternates are chosen? Sorry so many questions? And thank you in advance.

From what I have heard, obviously don't know for sure, a handful of people change their mind after orientation or during the summer for whateve reason. If it were me I would attend the orientation, as you have a better chance of getting in next semester than if you don't attend. If anything, you get to learn what the program is more about and be in a better position to be prepared when you do start. I don't think they choose THAT many alternates. Good luck!!
