CRNAs?!?!?!?!?!?!

Do any of you CRNAs out there think that your training is the same or better than that of an Anesthesiologist who did a 3 yr. residency after medical school? If so, how?

Search past posts. I don't think anyone can really answer this for you because in order for someone to say that one training is as good or better or worse than another, they would have had to do both trainings to be able to make a fair comparasion. So no one out there is really going to KNOW for sure how their training compares to some one else's and this is why this question is a topic of endless argument: you can only get opinions from each side and no real conclusions can be drawn.

If you really want to learn about nurses, start reading the posts and stop asking inane questions. As a future nurse, I'd love to be able to facilitate communication with docs, as well. Patients will be better treated if ALL members of the healthcare team can communicate.

A lot of your posts focus on what nurses wear, specifically lab coats and caps. I ask--how is this helping to facilitate communication with nurses in your future role as an MD? Are you here to insult nurses or are you truly looking to hear what nurses have to say?

For someone who is studying medicine you sure have a lot of time to ask stupid questions. Notamannurseanymore? HMMM-Have you had some sort of an operation?

I highly recommend reading his other posts. He obviously #1 has a lot of free time on his hands, and #2 has a major issues with nurses and the nursing profession.
