CRNA School

Jut wondering what is my incentive i was already to go to school only to find out they are making it a Doctorate program, but there is no extra pay for such a title, what is my incentive, I have to spend more money for school, another year that its going to make it hard for me to work but no more money????

Good Evening! You may want to move your post (probably mods will move it for you) because this is the thread for School Nurses......nurses who work in schools. :-)

Best of luck whatever your decision is!

You may want to think of a different career direction then. If you don't have the motivation to be a CRNA you won't make it through school. A good living won't be enough motivation. If the change to a doctorate puts you off this much then you probably don't want to be a CRNA badly enough.

Tough room. Maybe the poster is questioning why to go to a DNP over a MSN program. That's how I read it anyway.

No difference in compensation for a DNP. If you want to work at a hospital that is part of a CRNA training program, then you may want to look at DNP. Also it may be important to you if you want to teach or become a program director in the future.

No it's not all about the money but the majority of people wouldn't do it if there wasn't a pay raise.
