Hi, lilwhitfkd!

This http://www.dos.state.pa.us/bpoa/lib/bpoa/20/nurs_board/rn_exam_for_web_03312004.pdf is a link to the PA Board of Nursing application for RN licensure. If you will scroll down to the bottom of page 5 of the file you will find they ask questions about previous convictions. At the very bottom they tell you that if you have answered "yes" to any of the questions, you are to attach an explanation and documentation. On page 3 of the file, they give you the following instructions about that part of the application "attach full details of the conviction and appropriate court documents to your application. If you answered yes to questions C or D, attach full details and appropriate licensing authority documents. If you answered yes to any question, include a signed and dated personal explanation". I don't know if juvenile records count. There is a telephone number there that you can call if you have any questions: (717) 783-7142.

Welcome to allnurses! :welcome:

I don't the know the criminal laws however in my orientation class they said that if you have a blemish they have to report it to the hospitals and if the hospitals are not happy with the record they will not let you in which means you won't be able to do clinicals. however i know someone who had a exsponged record and they became a finanical advisor. So maybe it depends on what the issues was. Not sure if this helped. Good luck..
