Creative Faker Excuses

I know you've got 'em. Let's hear 'em! Yesterday a middle school boy came in here with the elaborate story about how he is on death's door. Apparently, he had a sore throat for 2 days. No fever. Then, he proceeds to tell me that he ate a left-over hot dog from a weekend bbq, so he has a stomach ache because for suuuuuure it had to be filled with bacteria. Hmm.

"My stomach hurts"

*I read the health office pass... says sore throat*

"It says here you left class because of a sore throat?"

"Oh yah, my throat hurts. And my arm hurts here... and here... and my knee hurts when I bend it this way... and my head JUST started hurting now, OUCH it hurts."

*send her to lie down for a few minutes*

"Oh my goodness! My friend just HAPPENS to be here too!" as they start chatting away about their weekend plans.

5 minutes later I send the first student back to class.

"OUCH! My head and stomach hurt! and my knee.... and my arm here.... and here... my mom says if my arm hurts here I should go home because I might have strep throat!"

*sent back to class*
