CPNE HELP!!!

Published

Ok, here goes! I just found out a few days ago that my test date is in 4wks!! So that is all the time I have to prepare! So here are a bunch of questions.....hope someone can help! Does anyone know where I can find patient scenarios to practice pcs's and careplans in my home? Also, is there anyone from the college (or anyone) that can reviewed some careplans I have written. I think I am good on writing careplans, but who knows, I am the only one that see them, lol! I am very committed to getting this done in 4wks and passing! Any help would be greatly appreciated! Any pointers or what not to do would help to! Thanks in advance! Jamie

You can download some scenarios here: http://cpnex.blogspot.com -- there are some documents by a guy named Chuck.

You seriously need to get on the EPN, specifically the CPNE discussion board, if you haven't already. You can post sample careplans for feedback there. Have you read the entire study guide yet?

Thanks! I have read the study guide twice already but just need some clarification to make sure I am doing it right! Are you talking about the epn post board or the chats twice a month? All I can find is people asking for study buddies and I think I am past that point of trying to find one, lol! can you get any feedback anywhere from the college on careplans and questions? thanks again

I made like 20 copies and made up my own. Also use your weekly FREE phone calls with an advisor, you get daily phone calls the last week I believe too.

The EPN CPNE board is much, much more than people asking for study buddies. This is where I'm telling you that you can post your careplans and get feedback. Go here:

https://www.excelsior.edu/Excelsior_College/My_Excelsior_College/Electronic_Peer_Network/Discussion_Boards

You'll have to log in. Once there, click on "Nursing Discussion Boards," then "Associate Degree Level Nursing," then "Clinical Performance in Nursing Examination - CPNE" to get to the discussion boards specific to the CPNE. The top one is the discussion board, the second one is where people post their journals.

Let me know if you still can't find it. The EPN was vital to my success on my first CPNE attempt.

Lunah!!! You are my new best friend! How have I not found this yet! I am on epn daily!! WOW, Thanks bunches! I will check it out!

LOL! Have fun, go nuts there. It's a FABULOUS resource. You can also submit care plans through your MyEC message box, but they take a while to get back to you because of the sheer volume of students, and the peer feedback is usually just as good. :)
