You might want to check out the Ohio Nurses' forum in order to get a quick answer to your question. ;)

I posted the link for you: https://allnurses.com/forums/f167/

Send a PM to LPNtoRN.

She just took the CPNE in Columbus a month or so ago so she'll have current info.

My husband's cousin got her RN through excelsior in 1997. She tested twice in Columbus and failed both times. For the 3rd time she went to Wisconsin and tested there and passed. She said the instructors in Ohio seemed 'out to get her' and failed her for very minor reasons. She ended up spending almost $7,000 in CPNE testing and related expenses alone. Her experience with that whole program made me decide to go through a traditional program vs. excelsior. Good luck to you.

any more feedback on the cpne from anyone?

it's a difficult exam. i took it twice, and it was wonderful to pass. all in all, i'm very satified with having gone through excelsior.

I guess you would feel better once you pass it.

I took mine in Milwaukee. No complaints. They were tough, but fair. You've GOT to know your stuff. Can't leave out the most minute detail. Study that manual until you have every iota in your head and even in your sleep.

The biggest hinderance is your own anxiety. If you know your material, PROVE it to them.

I passed the first time, but I would never want to have to go through it again ! :p
