CPNE Application is NOT user friendly!

arg! i know i need to be patient, but i do not feel good today and i had hoped yesterday i would be able to get my fcca scheduled. nope. gotta wait on the stinkin email. so i'm waiting, still today. late yesterday evening, they updated my status, now i'm able to apply for my cpne, but now, after fighting with it for 2 stinkin' days, i am ready to throw the computer at the wall! it will not let me upload the files to the electronic application. how did you all save your files so the dang thing would work? good grief, no wonder this is such a stressful test-they can't make anything easy! i think it's just because the files are so big, but i don't know enough about this stuff. obviously. i have spent somewhere close to 8 hours over the last 2 days trying to apply for the cpne. and i still don't have the email about the fcca! deep breath. maybe i'll go get a cup of coffee. yeah, that'll help my nerves!!! ha! thank you for the vent. and the help. now for coffee. =-)

    i don't know why they are delaying your fcca when the stinkin' e-mail only contains the phone number to call for and order the the fcca stuff. i will pm you the number so you can call them tomorrow morning. they updated your status already so they know you're fcca eligible. wait few mins. i will send now.

    that's what i love about these things! i called yesterday and elizabeth told me my status was in my "primary advisor's" pile to update. so then at like 7:30 last night, i got an email saying they were mailing me the cpne disk. well i'm still waiting on the stinkin' fcca thing. she made it sound like it was a register by email process. ugh. on the bright side, i have finally gotten the cpne app done except my background check. the file is so huge it won't accept it, and i can't figure out how to make it any smaller. i'm a nurse. not a computer geek! arg! thanks for the info!!!

    well, i'm sure everyone will be happy to know that right or wrong, all those dang files are submitted! it took almost 4 hours tonight of fighting, and so help me, if i call and they are missing something, i may enter uncharted territory :devil:. but for now, i am calmed down, and going to bed. i was almost done with this and dang it, i got called in to work for tomorrow. blah. sweet dreams, my fellow friends and nursing students, computer geeks and supporters!!!:redpinkhe:redpinkhe:redpinkhe

    You can fax in anything else they need. :) Congrats!!! If you are missing anything and need help turning anything into a PDF file or something, I can help. Just let me know.

    When I was unable to do the uploading for my application, I just mailed in the paperwork and also faxed everything. I then called them to make sure they got the fax.

    so i finally got it all to go through last night and today...it says "accepted"....so does that mean that now i am in the waiting game? sigh. i have got to be making this the most difficult process ever! oh, the fear of the unknown! on the bright side, my fcca is in the mail--should be able to finish it up as soon as i get it.

    When it says "accepted" for all items on your CPNE application status page, yes, you are in the waiting game. Don't forget to start calling for cancellation dates if you want an early test date. Congratulations!

    big sigh of relief! called mpac today to ease my ocd and yes, they received everything and that lady was so nice! i cannot imagine having to field the jillions of nervous nellies she must deal with on a very regular basis, but she went through everything with me and encouraged me to call whenever i felt like it, and even sounded sincere :rolleyes:! wow, i really appreciated her! you guys, too...wouldn't be this far without your help!!! now we play wait--at least for a few weeks until i can get organized and ready. then, i'll start calling and begging! :yeah:

    that's what i'm afraid of! i am trying to bust out that microbiology in the next week or so, but man! now that my app is in, i'm all worried that they may actually notify me sooner than later! eek! back to the books!! and notes....and lab set up....and care plan practice....and science book:uhoh3::uhoh3::uhoh3:

    Complaining that it's taking too long to get the application in.........................then complaining it won't take too long to get the date.....................................

    I am sooooo glad to never have to go through that again. EVER.
