Count down begins!!!

I am in the same boat!! This is my third attempt at trying to get into nursing school (life always seemed to get in the way!!) I just got my physical and blood titers today and ordered my stethoscope and cuff earlier in the week. I am sooooo excited. It seemed like the beginning of the year just dragged on waiting for the acceptance letter and then waiting on the info packet with all of the forms and requirements once I was accepted. Now, I hope time FLIES!!! I can't wait for August 20th!!!

I'm also counting down the days. I've bought my textbooks and most of my supplies. My physical is tomorrow and the shots are all done. I've reviewed the material that my BSN program wanted us to for the summer and I'm just waiting for orientation Aug 17 and the program starts Aug 22. I'm going to relax and enjoy the rest of these weeks because Aug 22 will be here before I know it. Congratulations to all of us starting nursing school, best of luck!!!!!!!!

I begin my program in 37 days! I'm so excited/nervous!

I can't help but mark the days off the calendar, 4 weeks and 3 days to go. (My daughter starts the 4k program also the same week).

After applying to nursing school for the past, and 3 yrs of heart ache, I was finally accepted into the ADN at my local school. I'm counting the hours to the mandatory meeting, have already set Dr.'s appt for the physical, got the shots, etc.. I've even bought a stethoscope and BP cuff and found someone to teach me to read BPs!!! Today I even ordered a bookbag!! I have thought about quiting my job, I've worked for the state for 7 years, but have decided against it because I believe that once I have finished with school they will hire me for a nursing position. HOW PERFECT work mon-fri 8:30-5:00 weekends off, holidays off, Annual leave, sick leave and flexible hours work hours. I'm so ready to get the chapter in my life started, I've got the support of my husband, family and friends!! IM SO EXCITED, plus I know that I'm setting a good example for my nieces and my daughter to pursue your dreams.

Good luck Carolina_Mom! I also start nursing school in the fall and can't wait. So I just have to ask which carolina are you in? I too, am a carolina mom :)

My start date is August 20th too! I have never wanted Summer to be over... until now.
